Dear Maritime Industry Leader:

During these challenging times, men and women working in the transportation sector, and particularly the maritime industry, are on the frontlines performing essential work. We sincerely appreciate all that you do.

That’s why I wanted to share with you this video from my boss, U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao, thanking you for your efforts. Feel free to share it on your website, on social media, or however you think it will best reach those who deserve to hear a word of appreciation right now.

Our industry takes a whole lot of pride in our motto: “In peace and war.” Let all of us take some pride in knowing that when the course of events issued us the daunting challenge of a global pandemic, we were on watch and did what needed to be done to keep our shipmates safe, our national economy fed, and the goods flowing – “in peace and war.”

Yours aye,
